I’m a native Californian with the soul of a Midwesterner who spends a lot of my free time daydreaming about fishing on Northwoods lakes.
I spent 20 years as a marketing professional for a specialty retail category killer, also known as a culture-based lifestyle brand in a passion category. As the company grew, acquired multiple wholly-owned subsidiaries, transitioned to a matrixed organizational structure and went from brick and mortar only to omni-channel, my experience followed suit.
Consulting started more subtly, behind the scenes, when shortly after the recession opportunities arose to assist friends in a pro bono manner as part of Chapter 11 turnarounds and career transition-necessitated startups.
Today I work with varied clients, from small businesses to industry leaders, on diverse projects including comprehensive marketing strategies, marketing department assessments and re-builds, product launches and more. I have a strong network of specialists I can tap (I often feel like the guys from Pawn Stars when I say “I know someone, let me give them a call”), including a strategic partnership with a full-service agency.
